Distinctive Unit Insignia

Description
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a black tower mortared gold, encircled at top by a red scroll inscribed QUALITY SUPPORT in gold.

Symbolism
Black and gold are the colors traditionally associated with Germany; they reflect the units location and their functions in community support.  The tower symbolizes a strong defense, military preparedness and support.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 29 April 1993.
